The New Zealand Government!
The New Zealand Government is called a democracy this is because New Zealand citizens who are over the age of 18 are eligible to vote for who they want in office as Prime Minister. By voting, New Zealand citizens are able to have a say on who they want in office & who they believe will make the best decisions for our nation. These elections are held every three years to vote for the Political Party's values and ideas you stand with & also the MP you'd like to represent your electorate. There are 120 members in parliament who are the house of representatives, their responsibility is to speak on the various decisions that the Government is making either concerning tax or just human rights overall. House of Representatives are elected by the electorate, but only if your party has over 5% (6 seats) of the seats in parliament which are given to a party if they had been voted over 5% across the entire nation. I personally think the democratic system in New Zeland is exceptional! I believe the democracy system is exceptional because the citizens of our nation are able to have a say on who they’d what to represent our nation.
