Happy Samoan Language Week!
Today my social-science teacher had given us activity where we assigned to use Prepare, Travel & Gift but also translate these words into Samoan. Here's my paragraph I have written, Hope you enjoy!
My family & I had planned a trip to the beach as a family day out. The beach we were specifically traveling (Malaga) to was a few hours outside of Auckland. We had prepared (Tapena) the food a few hours before we had actually arrived at the beach so we were able to set up the barbeque & cook right away! We had also prepared (Tapena) the night before so we didn’t have to worry about what we were taking to the beach such as, clothes, towels, tents. Etc. The gift (Oso) I personally got out of this whole experience was the memories we all had made as a family, was a big gift to me as I value time with family.
